Immigrant’s death crawl
An Ecuadorian immigrant heartlessly hunted down and killed by a wolf pack of Long Island teens two years ago tried desperately to stumble away for help after being stabbed, a cop testified yesterday.
Suffolk County Police Officer Frank Munsch recalled that Marcelo Lucero left a trail of blood before collapsing in a Patchogue driveway in November 2008.
Prosecutors say Jeffrey Conroy, now 19, and six high-school pals surrounded Lucero before Conroy stabbed him. He is charged with second-degree murder as a hate crime.
The trial resumes Monday.
