Westchester’s Indian Point nuclear power plant is operating again after being shut down by a transformer explosion Nov. 7.

The plant owner, Entergy Corp., said Indian Point 2, in Buchanan, went back online yesterday.

It said the blast was due to a failed high-voltage bushing, which connects the transformer to the overhead lines that carry electricity to the main electrical grid.
