A 4-month-old baby died in Brooklyn while in the care of his sitter, cops said Wednesday.
Shabsie Tabak was being watched at an apartment on Driggs Avenue near Division Avenue in Williamsburg when the sitter discovered he wasn’t breathing while in a stroller, according to police.
The sitter called a Hatzolah ambulance and notified the boy’s mother, officials said.
The child was rushed to Brooklyn Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.
Hospital staff notified police at around 6:15 p.m.
Family members say they were told by officials that there is no sign of foul play, and police said there was no sign of trauma on the body.
The babysitter told cops the child had been fed and burped before being put in the stroller.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
