A Tombs inmate whose “injury’’ got him into a wheelchair jumped out of it and punched a guard in the face Friday, officials said.

Officers Maced him — and in the process nailed eight of their colleagues.

The inmate, Matthew Whittington, was re-arrested. He has seven prior arrests, including for arson.
