An inmate who escaped from a facility on Rikers Island was captured Thursday morning after an hours-long search, cops said.

Naquan Hill, 24, was discovered by corrections officers on the island at around 2:30 a.m., according to police.

Hill, who had been locked up for burglary and other charges, fled the facility Wednesday night by hopping a barbed wire fence, authorities said.

During the search, Rickers Island was placed on lockdown.

Officials said it was unlikely Hill would attempt to swim off the island because the current is too strong.
