Insuring 1.2M more in NY
An additional 1.2 million uninsured New Yorkers could obtain health coverage under ObamaCare by 2014 if the state aggressively implements reforms under the new law, according to a study released yesterday.
The analysis, sponsored by the New York State Health Foundation and Manatt Health Solutions, estimated that 510,000 more New Yorkers should end up on the Medicaid rolls and 650,000 state residents will likely enroll in new market-based insurance pools to obtain health insurance. Most will receive tax subsidies to help afford coverage
