Straphangers can now find new MTA intercoms along the Lex line — or at the MOMA.

The sleek stainless-steel squawk boxes, that enable passengers to get help or information from station personnel while standing on subway platforms, were rolled out in a pilot program on the Lexington line yesterday.

But before that, their slick design won them a spot in the Museum of Modern Art’s 2006 exhibit, “Safe: Design Takes on Risk,” as well as a spot in MoMA’s permanent collection.

The MTA has 19 test units at the 23rd Street and Brooklyn Bridge stops, about every 150 feet along the subway platform.
