The city’s new Environmental Protection commissioner said yesterday he’s overhauling a summer-internship program where some agency officials helped relatives land jobs last year.

“We’re doing it totally different this year,” said Cas Holloway, who took over the Department of Environmental Protection four months ago.

He said the agency would recruit interns at colleges across the nation.

The Post reported last year that DEP had hired 124 paid summer interns as Mayor Bloomberg was considering layoffs for other city employees.
