iPad sales contagious
Apple’s iPad has becomes technology’s potato chip — you can’t just have one.
A study by a UK think tank showed 17 percent of iPad owners across The Pond have a second Apple tablet in their household, making it one of the biggest must-haves among tech-loving consumers.
The working theory is that once one user starts surfing on the flat mini-computer, everyone else in the home — spouses, siblings, children — wants in on the action.
At the Apple store on Fifth Avenue yesterday, Coen Bikkers, 50, walked in with his wife and two teen kids. They walked out with four iPads.
“Now all of us can share photos and send e-mails at the same time,” Bikkers said.
