Thousands of travelers who snagged round-trip seats from JFK to Israel for less than $400 will find out today if the miracle was short-lived.

Top bosses at El Al airlines were huddling in Tel Aviv yesterday to decide if the company will honor the fare, which was the result of an online pricing glitch.

“It would be a huge [financial] loss for the company,” the source said of the tickets, which usually sell for at least $1,600.

A source said the company was weighing the legal aspects of the situation. A spokeswoman for the airline declined to comment.

Sources have said more than 5,000 tickets were snapped up before officials corrected the mistake after three hours.

On Monday, El Al’s Twitter feed and customer-service reps said the airline would honor the fare.

But on Tuesday, the company changed its tune, telling ticket-holders no decision had been made.
