A man from Italy who ran the New York City Marathon has been missing since he completed the race Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

Gianclaudio P. Marengo, 30, was last seen in his running garb just after 3 p.m. at the finish line inside Central Park.

The athlete, who does not speak English and suffers from a mental disability, traveled to New York with a group of Italian runners and had been staying at the Sleep Inn Hotel in Long Island City.
