Cheers to recycled fashion!

More than 5,000 beer-bottle caps create this dazzling piece of “hops couture” by performance artist Gene Pool, who created the boozy masterpiece by hand to advocate for the environment, recycling and happiness.

“A friend of mine has all these garbage bags full of bottle caps,” explained Pool, 54. “They were all beer that I wouldn’t drink, light beers.”

Pool, who last week appeared at Direct Action Fashion Show at the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space in the East Village, punched holes in the beer caps and affixed them together with plastic ties to make the “lush-ous” 40-pound ensemble.

It took two months to bedazzle the shiny duds, which he wore during Fashion Week.

As he clinked around the city last week, he scared pigeons away and stopped fashionistas dead in their tracks.

“Did you jingle all the way?” one woman asked.
