The Big Apple, which has had a coolish spring, is in for a scorcher Wednesday and Thursday, as temperatures could hit 90 degrees.

Those forecasted temps are five to 15 degrees above normal for this time of year. The humidity will be a sticky 71 percent.

“Winds shifting out of the southwest on Wednesday will mean much warmer, wetter air in the region,” said AccuWeather meteorologist Steve Travis.

Temperatures on Friday and Saturday will be in the mid to high 80s.
