It’s money to burn!
What were they inking?
The federal Bureau of Engraving and Printing reportedly printed 30 million defective new $100 bills that must be destroyed.
The error is a $3.79 million mistake since the bills cost 12 cents each to produce and another $12,000 to destroy, according to The New Yorker magazine.
The problem stemmed from “too much ink” applied to the paper, said a bureau spokeswoman.
