Two scooter-riding Bronx muggers robbed four people within about a half-hour — with one suspect shrugging, “It’s nothing personal” before swiping even the victims’ shoes, cops said Tuesday.
The armed suspects – who were caught on surveillance video on their ride and are still in the wind – also made off with the victims’ chains and $2,300 in cash during their Sunday spree, authorities said.
The pair first targeted a 42-year-old man just before 3 p.m. at University Avenue and West 180th Street in University Heights, authorities said.
The scooter’s passenger hopped off the ride and pointed a gun at their victim as he snarled, “You know what this is!” cops said.
Then he grabbed the victim’s wallet, which held $800, as well as his personal identification and credit cards before taking off, police said.
The scooter-riding suspects made off with victims’ chains and $2,300 in cash during the Sunday spree, which lasted just over 30 minutes, authorities said. DCPIAbout 15 minutes later, the duo struck again on East 183rd Street near Morris Avenue in Fordham Heights, authorities said.
They stuck up a 50-year-old man who was sitting on the front steps of a building, cops said.
The same passenger suspect got off the scooter and flashed a gun as he allegedly snapped, “Give me your chain!”
He then grabbed the jewelry before getting back on the scooter and being whizzed off northbound on Walton Avenue, cops said.
At the dastardly duo’s final stop another 15 minutes later, they allegedly robbed two men, ages 19 and 20.
The victims were walking when the pair pulled up to them on Boone Avenue in Charlotte Gardens, cops said.
The passenger pointed a gun at the victims and sneered, “It’s nothing personal. Give us everything,” authorities said.
