WASHINGTON — Bye-bye, Weiner.
Randy ex-Rep. Anthony Weiner’s resignation letter is set to be read aloud as soon as today on the House floor — putting on the record his humiliating exit from Congress amid a sexting scandal.
Weiner, a Democrat who represented Queens and Brooklyn, officially quit at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, but the House still must formally recognize his resignation.
His political standing deflated after he posted a lewd photo of his bulging underwear on Twitter on May 27. He first claimed his account was “hacked.”
Meanwhile, Weiner and his wife, Huma Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, were spotted canoodling as they pushed a grocery cart through a Whole Foods in DC, The Washington Post reported.
