ALBANY — Pending gas-drilling studies will take too long to complete, the state health commissioner said yesterday, adding he plans a recommendation “in weeks” on whether the state should approve hydrofracking.
Health Commissioner Nirav Shah says the final results could be years away and he won’t wait for them.
Instead, he says state officials will talk to some of the researchers about their preliminary findings.
