Rapper Ja Rule got a lucky “jail break” yesterday — a three-month sentencing reprieve that will let him finish an album, fix some tax issues and work on a reality show with his family before going to prison.

The hip-hop star — real name Jeffrey Atkins — had pleaded guilty to gun charges and agreed to a two-year prison term in December.

He now doesn’t have to turn himself in until June 8, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Richard Carruthers ruled yesterday.

The three months will let the performer settle a lingering federal tax matter and finish Renaissance Project, the album he’s recording in Miami, said his lawyer, Stacey Richman.

Ja Rule and Lil Wayne were both busted on gun-possession charges in July 2007 after being pulled over separately by cops.

Lil Wayne was freed in November after serving eight months.
