A city correction officer was arrested yesterday for the decade-old murder of his Queens girlfriend, authorities said.
Christopher Clavell, 46, allegedly shot Barbara Perez eight times on Aug. 11, 2000, at the Ridgewood gym where she worked.
Clavell — who was in the middle of a custody dispute with Perez at the time of the slaying — wasn’t charged with the murder until yesterday.
It wasn’t immediately clear what led authorities to arrest him after more than 10 years.
Clavell is expected to be arraigned today in Queens Criminal Court.
