Some slick city workers produce phony doctors’ notes to grab a few undeserved days off.
Salvatore Emma came clean on why he didn’t report to his job as a Staten Island sanitation worker from July 14 to Nov. 5, 2009 and he still got fired.
Emma’s excuse: he happened to be incarcerated on Rikers Island during that period.
Administrative Law Judge Joan Salzman wasn’t sympathetic.
In a recent ruling, she recommended Emma — a sanitation man since 1997– be terminated because because he couldn’t perform his duities.
