Under fire from its West Village neighbors, the ultra-hot Jane Hotel nightclub is now facing seven violations of city fire and building codes as a result of a surprise, multi-agency inspection ordered over the weekend by City Hall.

The violations mostly target the operator’s lack of permits and approvals to run a nightclub in the landmark hotel at the corner of Jane and West streets.

The inspection, in response to community complaints, was conducted by the Mayor’s Office of Special Enforcement, which coordinates multi-agency sweeps.
