US attorney for Washington, DC, Jeanine Pirro is suing the power company Con Edison and the town of Rye, New York over a “dangerous” construction site she claims caused her to trip and suffer brain bruising and other injuries.

The 74-year-old former judge and TV host was walking near Purchase Street and Library Place in the charming Westchester town last August, when she fell over “a large wooden block” sticking out of the roadway, according to the lawsuit. 

The fall caused her to suffer a painful “contusion to the head” — also known as brain bruising that causes swelling or bleeding — along with injuries to her “eye, face, and shoulder areas,” according the lawsuit, filed Jan. 8 in Westchester county civil court.

“As a result of defendants’ negligence, Ms. Pirro was confined to bed, required medical attention and treatment, has suffered, and continues to experience pain and suffering, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment of life, and economic damages,” the suit states.

Pirro claims the company and the town, where she lives in a sprawling $3.8 million home with a pool, were negligent about Con Ed’s allegedly dangerous construction site.

“[It] constituted a hazardous, defective, dangerous, and unsafe condition,” the suit states. “The dangerous condition existed for a sufficient length of time prior to the [fall.]”

The lawsuit makes no mention of how much money she’s seeking.

Pirro didn’t immediately respond to questions from The Post. Con Ed declined to comment, citing a policy on “pending litigation.”
