An SUV driver was killed when his vehicle plummeted off the Third Avenue Bridge and landed on its roof in a crash involving another, alleged drunken motorist in the Bronx on Sunday morning, cops said.

The doomed driver of the Jeep Wrangler was merging into the southbound lanes of the Major Deegan Expressway from the East 135th Street entrance just before 5 a.m. when the vehicle crashed into an Audi A6 that was traveling south, cops said.

The driver of the Jeep was pronounced dead on the scene. 

The 23-year-old Audi driver, Freddy Martinez, was taken to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition and was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while ability impaired, police said.

Investigators were picking through the debris to determine the SUV driver’s identity, a police spokesman said.
