Pope Francis will be the headliner, but a bevy of other stars will also take the stage at Madison Square Garden before the pontiff celebrates Mass on Sept. 25.

The Archdiocese of New York announced Monday that performers including singers Harry Connick Jr. and Gloria Estefan and actress Jennifer Hudson will perform as part of a program called “A Journey in Faith.”

Also on board are Norm Lewis from Broadway’s “Phantom of the Opera,” actress Kelli O’Hara, Martin Sheen, singer James “D-Train” Williams and Norm Lewis.

There will also be choirs, speeches by some of the 50 bishops attending the papal Mass and others.

Because of security concerns, those attending the Mass have been asked to be at the Garden by 2 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. Mass so the entertainment, starting at 3 p.m., will help keep the crowds busy.

Those attending can also go to Confession and shop for papal souvenirs.
