One of two Brooklyn teens charged in the “horribly chilling” attack of a man in Hasidic garb Monday allegedly committed two other hate crimes against Jews in the last two weeks, it was revealed in court yesterday.
A brutal Thanksgiving attack left Joel Weinberger with a fractured eye socket and three metal plates in his face after a four-day hospital stay that involved two surgeries, a prosecutor in Brooklyn Family Court said.
Another beat-down of a Jewish man occurred Dec. 4, two days before the pair allegedly jumped Moshe Guttman on Harrison Street in Williamsburg and punched him in the head.
Brooklyn Family Court Judge Daniel Turbow called the allegations “horribly chilling” as he refused to release the teens to their families.
Neither suspect, whose names are being withheld because of an order from the judge, has a criminal record.
