A Westchester County jeweler was convicted yesterday of killing his wife by incinerating her in an oil drum.

Werner Lippe, 68, of Cortlandt, had confessed three times to beating his wife, Faith, 49, then burning her remains in a backyard “burn barrel,” but recanted the confessions. Prosecutors were also hampered by the lack of a body or DNA evidence. After a hung jury in February, they won a conviction yesterday in White Plains.
