A vandal targeted Jews in Williamsburg on Holocaust Remembrance Day yesterday, sources said. As many as 13 mezuzahs, valued at around $120 each, were burned off doorways inside 85 Taylor St., sources said.
The small cases hold parchment scrolls with inscriptions from the Torah.
They were defaced before sunset Monday, when the international observance ended, sources added. The NYPD is investigating the incidents as possible hate crimes, sources said.
