JFK jump ‘suicide’
A 26-year-old man from Indiana fell 45 feet to his death last night at JFK Airport in an apparent suicide, authorities said.
The bearded man left his baggage — an orange and black backpack and a gray suitcase — behind when he jumped from the road outside a terminal’s departure level at 8:40 p.m.
He struck the side of the AirTrain tracks, and landed on the ground-level street below.
No flights were delayed, but the AirTrain’s inner loop was closed for more than an hour while the death was investigated.
