This New Jersey coke smuggler is facing more than a “Wii” bit of prison time.
Jean Vargas, 23, of Paterson, was busted Sunday at Kennedy Airport with more than six pounds of cocaine — valued at $280,000 — stuffed inside a suspiciously thick Nintendo Wii exercise pad and carrying case, the US Customs and Border Protection said yesterday.
“Smugglers are cunning,” said John Saleh, a Customs spokesman, who added it’s the first stash he recalled hidden in a Wii pad or case.
Vargas faces up to 40 years in prison if convicted, sources said.
