Teflon Don John Gotti’s grandson is back in cuffs for allegedly slapping and choking his gal pal – just days before he was due to start serving a prison sentence for stealing COVID relief funds.
Carmine Gotti Agnello, 39, left Nassau County court Thursday after getting hit with assault charges for allegedly attacking his girlfriend in a jealous rage, according to a criminal complaint.

Stephen Yang for NY PostThe grandson of the late Gambino crime boss — who wore a “Sean John” jacket from disgraced rap mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs’ clothing line as he left court — had been due to start serving a 15-month sentence on June 12 after pleading guilty in April to running a million-dollar COVID-relief scam.
Online records show that the court appearance has been postponed.
According to the complaint, Agnello started yelling at his girlfriend shortly before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday inside his East Norwich home after accusing her of cheating on him — and shoved her so hard she fled the house.
Police said Agnello followed her outside, where he allegedly “slapped the victim on the left cheek, punched the victim with a closed fist on the victim’s left side of her face, and the defendant put both hands around the victim’s neck,” the complaint said.

Agnello was picked up at court by his mother Victoria Gotti. Stephen Yang for NY PostPolice said he kicked her several times and smashed her $2,000 cellphone on the ground.
The goon was arraigned in Nassau County District Court on Thursday on charges of third-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief and criminal obstruction of breathing and released without bail.
Agnello had faced three years in the fraud case after he pleaded guilty in April to pocketing $1.1 million in pandemic relief funds in 2024 and using much of the ill-gotten loot to invest in cryptocurrency.
He was sentenced to 15 months but had tried to get an even sweeter deal by claiming he needed to be out so he could donate a kidney to his ailing mom, mob princess Victoria Gotti, the don’s daughter.
