Joint effort by gov wannabe
ALBANY — He’s eyeing the state’s highest office.
Former High Times publisher Richard Stratton, who spent eight years in prison for drug trafficking in the 1980s, is planning to challenge Gov. Cuomo in 2014.
Stratton, who plans to run as a Republican, registered a campaign committee for governor with the state Board of Elections yesterday. He said he’ll make legalizing marijuana — the mission of High Times — a top issue.
