Judge blocks $1.4M GZ deal
A judge yesterday refused to sign off on a $1.4 million settlement between Tishman Construction, which built the World Trade Center, and nearly 750 sickened Ground Zero workers, saying he couldn’t vouch for “each and every term” in the deal.
Unlike the city’s offer exceeding $662.5 million, the Tishman agreement would divvy up the proceeds equally among 742 plaintiffs regardless of severity of injury.
