Steve KogutA federal judge has ordered a “Jane Doe” who
in two weeks or else her lawsuit — which makes wild allegations of rape, bondage and humiliation — could be dismissed.
The woman, who is 35, has claimed anonymously in her Manhattan federal court lawsuit that Steven Kogut, 60, routinely assaulted her in their Greenwich Street loft last year and that she had never pressed charges for fear of worse reprisals.
Her lawyer, Derek Smith, said Friday that his client will fight to maintain her privacy. A lawyer for Kogut, Andrew Miltenberg, countered that the woman is hiding behind anonymity while lying “for financial gain.”
“Exposure will naturally shine a light onto some very ugly truths about this woman, her past, and the lives of other men who she has threatened and intimidated,” Miltenberg said.
