TRENTON, NJ — A member of the Bloods street gang allegedly plotted behind bars in the Monmouth County Jail to arrange the slaying of a federal judge.

Derrick “Murder” Menter and an unidentified Blood wanted the judge — believed to be Chief US District Court Judge Garrett Brown — dead because of stiff prison sentences imposed on other gang members, an indictment says.

They allegedly sought $100,000 from a man awaiting sentencing by Brown to do the deed.
