Former Broadway “Spider-Man” director Julie Taymor is at the center of another legal battle.

The theater company where Taymor directed “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” has filed a lawsuit against a producer who failed to cough up a promised $500,000 to finish the film version of the Shakespeare play, court papers state.

The Theatre for a New Audience sued Ben Latham-Jones and his production company Londinium Films in Manhattan federal court less than a week before the Taymor-directed film is scheduled for release.

Taymor — who settled a $1 million lawsuit she filed against the producers of the troubled “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark” in 2012 — is not named as a plaintiff in the suit.
