A man leaped to his death from a high-rise Friday morning – and ruptured a hospital’s emergency room oxygen supply on his way down, authorities say.

The 31-year-old took the plunge about 2:00 a.m. from 1 Columbus Place, a neighboring luxury apartment building to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital in Midtown, police said.

The impact of his fatal fall caused the oxygen tank to leak and all patients from the emergency room were evacuated.

No patients were harmed as a result of the jump, and portable oxygen tanks are being used until a private contractor can repair the damages, authorities said.

The jumper’s name has yet to be released and is pending family notification. It is unclear if he jumped from the roof or a window, police said.
