Jury $nubs cop-stabber
A Brooklyn jury yesterday put to rest a civil-rights suit filed against three NYPD officers by an attempted cop-killer.
The federal jury deliberated for just over an hour before rejecting the sole remaining charge in a $45 million suit filed by Hugo Antonio Hernandez, who claimed that he was beaten by the cops while handcuffed after plunging a 6-inch hunting knife into another officer’s brain.
Hernandez had already pleaded guilty to the stabbing and is currently serving a 20-year sentence.
