Kahane kin eye ‘Iran’ bldg.
Survivors of radical Rabbi Meir Kahane and of two people wounded during his 1990 assassination are suing the owners of a Fifth Avenue skyscraper that is secretly controlled, according to the feds, by the Iranian government.
The suit, filed yesterday in Manhattan federal court, seeks title to the building to satisfy a $350 million judgment won in 2008 for Iran’s sponsorship of the Islamic Group, a terrorist organization.
Islamic Group member El Sayyid Nosair gunned down Kahane, the founder of the Jewish Defense League, after the rabbi delivered a speech at a Midtown hotel.
A similar lawsuit has been filed by families of the 241 US service members killed in the 1983 bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut.
