Police Commissioner Ray Kelly made a hospital-bedside visit yesterday to a Brooklyn grandma who took a stray bullet to the cheek while sitting down to dinner in her East New York apartment.

Agripina Camacho, 81, whose grandson Louis Camacho is a detective assigned to Kelly’s security detail, was in a chatty mood as she awaited surgery at Brookdale Hospital, Kelly said.

“Mrs. Camacho is in fine spirits. Her family is there in large numbers,” Kelly said after the visit.

“Her grandson is part of my detail. He’s a terrific young man.”

And Agripina was already looking forward to a home-cooked meal.

“She’s talking about when she gets out of here, she wants a nice plate of rice and beans and pork,” said Freddie Camacho, 61, her relieved son, who shares an apartment with his mom in a housing project in East New York.

Kelly blamed the outrageous violence on too many kids packing guns.
