Kelly’s SUV in skid crash
Even the city’s top cop suffered post-blizzard travel woes.
Commissioner Ray Kelly was involved in a three-car fender-bender on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn last night as his NYPD-issued Ford Expedition headed east near the 65th Street exit at 8 p.m., just as a van swerved to avoid hitting another vehicle and fishtailed into a snow bank.
Kelly’s driver hit the brakes on the slippery roadway to avoid hitting the snow-bound van, and in turn a livery cab rear-ended the police vehicle. No one was injured, no airbags were deployed and no tickets were issued.
Kelly’s SUV was driven from the scene of the accident.
