Passaic County Sheriff Jerry Speziale, a colorful former NYPD cop who was once Bernard Kerik’s partner, will be named second-in-command of the Port Authority Police Department today, The Post has learned.
Speziale, 50, who’ll be the new deputy superintendent, joined the NYPD in 1983 and retired as a first-grade detective in 1997.
While assigned with Kerik to a multi-agency task force, Speziale took down major Colombian drug traffickers who were part of the notorious Cali cartel.
He had a cameo role in the Richard Gere movie “Brooklyn’s Finest.”
