Monica Kerrison, wife of longtime Post columnist Ray Kerrison, died Sunday following a brief illness. She was 81.

In addition to her husband of nearly 60 years, she is survived by seven children — Catherine, Loretta, Louise, Damien, Francesca, Gregory and Patrick — and 18 grandchildren.

Visitation is set for Blackley Funeral Home, 809 Broad Ave., in Ridgefield, NJ, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Matthew Church, at 555 Prospect Ave., Ridgefield, at 10:15 a.m. Friday.

Ray Kerrison, who joined The Post in 1977, is best known for his insightful coverage of horse racing.
