The city will begin immunizing as many as 1.2 million students against swine flu starting next week in what officials say will be the largest such effort in the nation.

First, however, parents will have to sign consent forms — which Mayor Bloomberg yesterday urged that they do.

The vaccine will be distributed over an eight-week period at 1,000 sites.
