A 5-year-old Upper West Side girl drowned yesterday in a swimming pool at her family’s Jersey Shore summer home, officials said.

Meghan Kelly was in the pool with an older brother at around 3:15 p.m. when the tragedy occurred at the family’s million-dollar Mantoloking home, cops said.

The children’s mother, Linda, was nearby and immediately began trying to revive Meghan, sources said. The child later died at a local hospital.

No charges were expected to be filed, cops said.

The Kelly family, including three young sons, is active in their local church, the Advent Lutheran Church on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

According to a church newsletter, Jim Kelly, an executive at Credit Suisse, serves on the church’s investment committee. Linda is an adviser for the youth and family ministry.

Julie Hagen, who also volunteers at the church, said, “The family is just devasted. Linda called us this morning to tell us. They are all in a total state of shock.”

Hagen, 29, remembered Meghan as “so full of joy and could make everyone smile and laugh. Her three older brothers loved her so much.”

A doorman at the family’s former home on Central Park West said Linda was a very careful parent.

“The mother was so protective of [Meghan]. She would even stop her before going down just two stairs,” said Leroy Lewin.

And the building’s superintendent, Mike Luka, said: “The family was so nice. They always did everything together, they were so close.”
