Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand says she hopes to introduce a budget amendment that would prevent the use of federal funds to enforce “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” the policy that bars openly gay, lesbian and bisexual Americans from serving in the military.
“‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ is a threat to our national security,” Gillibrand said at last night’s Human Rights Campaign gala at the Waldorf Astoria.
