But New Yorkers looked a lot soggier after getting drenched by the real deal yesterday, when two rounds of thunderstorms moved through the city — one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

“Many people in the boroughs picked up between one-half and three-quarters of an inch of rain in the two events,’’ said AccuWeather.com meteorologist Carl Erickson.
