Kutsher’s comeback
Famed “Borscht Belt” resort Kutsher’s goes highbrow in a new downtown bistro set to open Monday.
The 140-seat Kutsher’s Tribeca will be a leaner version of the iconic 400-room resort that fed 1,000 people a day, drew top-name comics and musicians — and inspired the 1987 classic movie “Dirty Dancing.”
The family-owned Kutsher’s in the Catskills closed in 2007; its buildings are now leased out.
