Police on Long Island have arrested a man accused of spray painting swastikas on public property.
Michael Nielsen of Seaford was awaiting arraignment Thursday on charges of criminal mischief and aggravated harassment. The name of his attorney was not immediately on record.
Nassau County police say Nielsen painted swastikas on five traffic cones. The 30-year-old is also accused of putting other types of graffiti on 17 traffic cones, three fences, four cars, a stone wall, a mailbox and a brick wall. All were on the same street.
Nielsen was arrested Wednesday.
