Three LAPD officers were hospitalized after they were injured during a DUI pursuit in the San Fernando Valley Saturday night.

The officers were in pursuit of a suspect who was allegedly driving under the influence when they crashed into each other near Wilbur Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard around 10:25 p.m. in Northridge, the LAPD confirmed to The California Post.

All three officers were transported to a hospital, KTLA reported. The injured officers were men aged in their early 30s, the outlet added.

As of late Sunday morning, all three of the officers were released from hospital, the LAPD said.

“They were in pursuit of a DUI driver, all of the officers have been released from the hospital — they only complained of pain, so there were no serious injuries,” a LAPD spokesperson confirmed to The California Post.

The driver was booked on a misdemeanor charge.

“Just one drink is too much and we all are familiar with these tragic scenes where DUI ends in loss of life or they are very significant lesson to be learned,” the spokesperson said.
