ALBANY — It’s going to be lame.
Monday’s emergency session of the Legislature called by lame-duck Gov. Paterson won’t produce any agreement on several key issues, including how to deal with the state’s growing budget deficit, insiders predicted yesterday.
Making matters worse is the likelihood that several members of the one-vote Senate Democratic majority won’t be present for the session, giving Republicans veto power over anything proposed.
Gov.-elect Andrew Cuomo had urged his fellow Democrats to back Paterson’s proposal to cut spending.
